Fourth of July in Ridgewood, NJ: Fireworks, Festivities & Local Real Estate

Thursday, July 4th
Ridgewood’s 4th of July festivities are a time-honored tradition—now in their 115th year! Here’s what’s happening:
 Morning Events:
  • 9:00 AM – Flag Raising Ceremony at Wilsey Square, led by the Ridgewood American Legion Post 53.
  • 10:00 AM – Parade kicks off at Monroe Street & Godwin Avenue.
This year’s theme, “The Road to Independence,” features colorful floats, spirited marching bands, and local heroes.
It’s tradition for families to claim parade-viewing spots early! Chairs are already lining the streets!

Evening Festivities at Veterans Field:
  • 6:00 PM – Gates open. Bring your chairs and blankets! There will be food trucks, live music by the Dad’s Night Band, and a festive beer garden hosted by MacMurphy’s Pub.
  • 9:00 PM – Spectacular fireworks show by Fireworks by Grucci!
Tickets: Are $12 in advance (online until 2pm on July 4th), $16 at the gate, and kids under 5 are free to enter!
Purchase online or in person at Bookends, Backyard Living, The Daily Treat, Goffle Brook Farms, or The Wine Seller.

Thursday, July 4 – Tribute Run & Parade
  • 8:00 AM – Glen Rock Tribute Run that starts at Veterans Park, finishes at the Glen Rock “Rock”
  • 8:45 AM – Kids Fun Run (approx. 1 mile)
  • 9:30 AM – Glen Rock 4th of July Parade
The route goes from Glen Rock High School to Doremus Ave

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, I wanted to share some of the amazing local events happening in Ridgewood and Glen Rock. These hometown celebrations are part of what makes our communities so special—and they’re a great way to enjoy summer with family, friends, and neighbors! These events are a beautiful reminder of the strong community spirit we enjoy here. It’s one of the many reasons I love working with families who call— or are ready to call—this area home.
If you ever need recommendations, updates on the local market, or know someone considering a move to Ridgewood, Glen Rock or any of our surrounding towns, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and safe Independence Day!

Warmly,
Amy Bourque
